Security Officer Overnight Residential Full Time Patrol Driver
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a residential community in San Diego, California. This overnight driving post involves vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, assisting residents and visitors, and responding professionally to security-related concerns. The role calls for strong communication, customer service, and sound judgment. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.60 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- At least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license, as required by company driver policy for driving positions.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.
- Accurately and promptly document incidents, patrol activities, and communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
