About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to serve a premier retail and shopping destination in Miami, Florida. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to guests, tenants, retailers, and visitors. The role involves communicating professionally, responding to concerns, and supporting a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. The scheduled shifts are 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and guests by following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe assigned areas, reporting security concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues according to site procedures.
Collaborate with site management, retail personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.
Complete required reports and documentation.
