Security Officer Full Time Access Control Services
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Access Control Security Officer in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer helps manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to security-related concerns while providing customer service and helping maintain an organized, welcoming environment. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $19.47 per hour. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local requirements. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with access control systems and badge management, including issuing, tracking, and deactivating access badges.
- Experience working with alarm panel systems, including installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting; knowledge of alarm systems and protocols.
- Strong customer service skills and a proven ability to address inquiries and resolve issues; experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Manage access control points by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor entry, issuing temporary access badges, and maintaining accurate visitor and contractor logs.
- Monitor access control systems, alarms, cameras, and communications equipment, and report suspicious activity, access issues, and equipment concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
