About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer assigned to a retail shopping location in Woodbridge, New Jersey. The position provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially building their schedule up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $19.24 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Assist with access control, visitor inquiries, and directions, and report maintenance or property concerns to site representatives.
• Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities according to company and site-specific reporting procedures.
