About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for mall patrol in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. The role provides a designated site and fixed weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to increase hours and potentially work up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $18.06 per hour. The schedule is Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures at a commercial real estate location. Duties include responding professionally to incidents and access concerns, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access points and visitor activity, and preparing reports. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the stated age requirement. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with company policy; the posting also notes that a license is required for driving positions only. Employment is conditional on background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; the posting states that a license is required for driving positions only.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Commit to the assigned site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, property concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking areas, entrances, perimeter, and other assigned locations; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site procedures; communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders as needed.
