About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Patrol in Boston, Massachusetts. The position is assigned to a designated site and includes a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The listed shift is Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at a pay rate of $21.20 per hour. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust their schedule as needed. The role involves providing customer service, conducting unarmed patrols, responding to incidents, supporting orderly access, and completing security documentation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, staff spaces, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report security concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Help maintain orderly access by observing visitor activity, reporting unusual conditions, and communicating respectfully with patrons and staff.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with company and site procedures.
