About The Position

As a Security Officer conducting outdoor mall perimeter patrols in Staten Island, NY, you will help safeguard a retail and mall property and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This is an unarmed patrol role focused on routine patrols, a visible security presence, customer service, and responding professionally to security-related concerns. The position is part-time, with scheduled shifts Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

The role includes paid training, access to a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts, and opportunities for career growth. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Applicable state or local licensing requirements may apply.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and shoppers while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, assigned tenant spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific reporting protocols.
• Observe and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate site contacts.
• Assist with access control, provide directions, and address other customer service needs while helping deter unauthorized activity.
