About The Position

As an unarmed Security Officer Patrol at a manufacturing and industrial location in Champaign, Illinois, you will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to site needs with integrity. This is a part-time position scheduled Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Pay is $20.60 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain visitor, vehicle, and delivery records according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in detailed reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
