Security Officer Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Patrol to serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location in York, Pennsylvania. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves routine unarmed patrols, clear communication, customer service, and teamwork. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Employment is subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations.
- Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
- Monitor access, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow site protocols, and contact emergency services when appropriate.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports about patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
