About The Position

As a full-time unarmed security officer at a hotel or resort in Homewood, Alabama, you will help safeguard clients while supporting a welcoming guest experience. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, provide customer service to guests and staff, communicate professionally, and document security-related activity using a computer or tablet. The role represents Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity. The position pays $15.50 per hour. Scheduled shifts are 11:00 PM–7:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, property policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of hotel common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations while following site-specific protocols.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property.
Document and report incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Provide directions and assist with visitor inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
