About The Position

As a Security Officer in a healthcare setting in Livingston, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors. You will help deter security-related incidents, support a welcoming environment, and respond to security concerns professionally and with integrity. The position is full-time and pays $18.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Respond professionally to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of medical office areas, waiting rooms, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures, directing patients and visitors as needed.
Maintain a professional presence and communicate respectfully with people in a healthcare setting.
Report maintenance, access control, and other security-related issues.
