About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location in San Jose, California. The officer will help safeguard tenants, visitors, property staff, and the site by conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access, responding professionally to concerns, and documenting activity. The role calls for teamwork, integrity, reliability, and exceptional customer service.

The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The pay rate is $22.95 per hour. Applicants must have at least two years of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; applicable licensing may also be required before employment.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, common areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and potential property concerns.
• Monitor property access, verify visitor authorization as required, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and security incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation according to company and site-specific procedures.
