About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in Sterling, Virginia, to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, provide customer service, and help promote a welcoming and secure environment. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. The pay rate is $23.18 per hour. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Customer service experience.
CPR and First Aid certification.
A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of data center operations areas, office spaces, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
