About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Santa Clara, California, you will safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while helping maintain a welcoming and orderly environment. You will carry out site-specific security procedures and policies, support access control, patrol assigned areas, respond to security concerns, and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary according to state and local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and promptly.
