About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location in Oakland, California, you will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service and communication. The role serves employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel. Scheduled overnight shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

The position requires at least two years of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law; a valid driver's license is required only for driving positions. Pay is $28.00 per hour. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, perimeter fencing, and other assigned locations to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Report hazards, damaged infrastructure, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
