About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned educational arts location in Mountain View, California. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a required six-month commitment, and officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts can provide the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $19.87 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. Duties include unarmed patrols, monitoring access and visitors, responding to incidents, and completing required reports. The role may involve interactions with students, staff, visitors, and contractors.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events; notify site contacts or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and direct guests according to site procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
