About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned automotive site in Vance, Alabama. The position offers a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours can vary based on claimed shifts, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed shift is Saturday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM. Pay is $16.50 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while following security procedures and site policies, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access, reports irregularities, responds to incidents, and documents activities. The role may involve emergency response activities when appropriate.

Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the automotive location, including parking areas, vehicle storage areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized activity or irregular conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations and document observations, activities, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security concerns through visible patrols and timely reporting.
