About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an educational government location in Ashburn, Virginia, you will help safeguard students, staff, visitors, and the site. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible security presence, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service. The role follows site-specific policies and school and district protocols. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Pay is $18.87 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events, following established school and district protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, provide directions and assistance, and report concerns to appropriate school personnel or emergency responders.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
