About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Fredericksburg, Virginia, you will help safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, provide customer service, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role emphasizes teamwork, integrity, reliability, innovation, and a caring, people-first culture. The schedule is Monday and Thursday through Sunday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations, following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and staff activity while providing courteous directions and assistance.
Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
