About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an overnight lobby assignment in Springfield, Ohio. At a technology, media, and telecommunications location, the officer will provide a visible, professional presence, welcome visitors, manage access, monitor lobby activity, and deliver customer service. The role involves communicating with employees, guests, and leadership and addressing security-related concerns. The stated pay rate is $19.00 per hour, paid weekly. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Staff the front desk, greet guests, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and direct individuals according to location procedures.
• Monitor entry activity, access control systems, and communications equipment, escalating unusual activity or access concerns according to established protocols.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident documentation, and front-desk records while supporting a professional, welcoming environment.
