About The Position

As a Security Officer in a medical facility lobby area control role in Brooklyn, NY, you will help safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be 21 or older.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other members of the campus community while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations according to site-specific protocols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when assigned, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
Accurately document patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.
