About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a medical facility lobby patrol role in Brooklyn, New York. The officer will serve and safeguard clients at an educational location, maintaining a visible presence and helping create a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role involves routine patrols, responding to security concerns and emergencies, and providing customer service and clear communication. The schedule is Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM; Saturday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM; and Sunday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, academic spaces, residence-adjacent areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas; identify and report security concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations.
Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas; verify authorized access according to site procedures and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
