About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring an armed security officer for a lobby patrol role in Houston, Texas. The officer will monitor security systems, patrol the premises, control access, and help protect people and property. The position is full-time and commissioned, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (until close) and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The hourly wage is $18.00.

Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended. GardaWorld provides a uniform at no cost and describes opportunities for career growth.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Hold a Level 3 Armed Security License.
• Be able to provide a weapon, duty belt, two pairs of handcuffs, and two non-lethal items.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license with no restriction B and a clean driving record.
• Demonstrate a stable work history.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be able to climb stairs and walk, stand, and sit for long periods.
• Have computer and social skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry.
• Be willing and able to work at odd hours and under pressure.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Be able to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Have a state license if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents in detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems for potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
