About The Position

As a Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients while supporting a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. This unarmed patrol role involves maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, responding to security-related concerns, communicating professionally, and providing exceptional customer service. The position is full-time, scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at a pay rate of $19.06 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.
Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and in a problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe building activity, reporting maintenance concerns, suspicious conditions, and security-related issues to appropriate site personnel.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records in accordance with company and site procedures.
