About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to oversee corporate lobby access and patrol at a site in Midtown Manhattan. The role serves clients and visitors by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. The officer interacts daily with the general public, clients, and staff and must demonstrate strong customer service. Work shifts are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening, and candidates should be flexible to work any day Sunday through Saturday. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with the general public, clients, and staff daily.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Computer or tablet experience preferred.
• Access control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
