About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for lobby access control at a medical facility in Brooklyn, New York. The role serves and safeguards clients, provides customer service, conducts patrols, monitors access points, and supports site-specific security procedures and emergency response. The position pays $18.00 per hour and has a daytime schedule: Tuesday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, Thursday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM, Friday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, and Sunday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may need to be met before employment, subject to applicable state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, following established campus protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
