Security Officer Medical Facility Control Access
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a medical facility in Bethpage, New York. The officer will help safeguard a healthcare location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and providing professional customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, employees, and staff. The role is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and pays $22.21 per hour. The officer will follow site-specific policies and procedures, respond professionally to incidents and medical-related concerns, and document and communicate relevant observations and activities. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to applicable background investigation and drug-screen requirements.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical-related concerns, and critical situations in accordance with site protocols, notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures to help deter unauthorized access.
- Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and client representatives.
