About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned medical facility in Brooklyn, New York. The position provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. The officer provides customer service while carrying out site security procedures, patrols, access monitoring, and incident response. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, residence areas, academic spaces, parking facilities, and perimeter areas; report unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, direct visitors, provide campus information, and support adherence to site entry procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting campus personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with company and site requirements.
