Security Officer Medical Facility Control Access
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer for a medical facility in New York, NY. The officer will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role requires exceptional customer service, clear communication, and professional responses to concerns, consistent with Allied Universal’s values. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may need to be met before employment, depending on applicable state and local rules.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- New York State Security Guard License.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents and critical situations, including assisting with access control and visitor inquiries as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor assigned areas, report unusual conditions, and communicate observations to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
