Security Officer Medical Facility Control Access Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a dynamic educational location in Brooklyn, New York. This unarmed patrol role safeguards the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access points, and providing customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests. The officer follows site-specific policies and campus protocols, responds to incidents and emergencies as appropriate, identifies and reports security concerns, and prepares accurate incident reports. The stated pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday and Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The role requires a valid New York State Security Guard License, a high school diploma or equivalent, and applicants for unarmed roles must be at least 18 years old. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following campus protocols and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking locations, and campus perimeter areas.
- Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken.
