About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Patrol Officer to support a government school environment in East Meadow, New York. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns while providing professional customer service and clear communication to students, staff, visitors, and community members. The role follows site-specific procedures and school district policies and includes appropriate emergency response activities.

This is a full-time position with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.74 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by following site-specific procedures, school district policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, access issues, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports.
• Communicate relevant information with school administrators, staff, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
