About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for an unarmed patrol role at a dynamic educational location in Brooklyn, New York. The officer will help safeguard the campus community through visible patrols, access-point monitoring, professional incident response, and customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other community members. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is scheduled for overnight shifts from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members while following security procedures and site-specific policies and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate with Allied Universal leadership, campus representatives, and emergency responders as needed.
