About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed security officer for an automotive location in Sparks, Nevada. The officer will safeguard the client’s facility and help maintain a welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors through visible presence, routine patrols, incident response, access monitoring, clear communication, and customer service. The position pays $25.00 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may need to be satisfied before employment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; report observations according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, vehicle storage areas, and the perimeter.
Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor or contractor activity, and verify access authorization according to site requirements.
Document incidents, patrol activity, and irregular conditions clearly and promptly; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
