About The Position

As a Security Officer Front Desk Clearance Required in Colorado Springs, Colorado, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including aerospace and defense. At a front desk in an aerospace and defense setting, you will welcome visitors, manage access, verify credentials, maintain accurate records, and provide customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help support a secure, professional environment for personnel and guests. The role is full-time and pays $22.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a front desk.
• Manage visitor reception and access control, including verifying identification, issuing credentials as authorized, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests according to site procedures.
• Monitor entry activity, communications systems, and security-related alarms or notifications; escalate unusual activity or concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Maintain a professional front desk presence, protect confidentiality, and handle sensitive information in accordance with site requirements.
