About The Position

As a Security Officer at an aerospace and defense front desk in Salt Lake City, Utah, you will provide a welcoming and professional presence while monitoring facility access, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, and communicating security-related concerns. You will help maintain an orderly environment through customer service, attention to detail, and clear communication. The role supports site-specific security procedures and policies and requires an active DoD Secret clearance.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• An active DoD Secret clearance.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation, subject to applicable law.
• A drug screen, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies at the front desk.
• Monitor facility access by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary credentials, and directing guests according to site requirements.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate visitor, access, and incident records; answer incoming calls; and communicate relevant information to authorized site contacts.
• Maintain a professional front desk presence that helps deter unauthorized access and promotes compliance with site entry requirements.
