About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Management Desk in San Jose, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will provide front-desk security and customer service by welcoming and directing visitors, managing access and badges, monitoring entry activity, and using computer-based tools to support security operations. You will communicate professionally with employees and guests and help maintain an orderly, welcoming environment while protecting people and confidential information.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-desk customer service by following site-specific security procedures, visitor protocols, and reception practices.
• Greet, screen, and direct employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors; verify access authorization and maintain accurate visitor records according to site policies.
• Monitor access points, visitor management systems, and security-related communications; report unusual activity, access concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following established emergency response procedures and notifying applicable contacts.
• Help maintain a professional, welcoming lobby environment, deter unauthorized access, and protect confidential information from unauthorized disclosure.
