About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location in Sparks, Nevada, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and assisting visitors and team members professionally. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations. The position serves clients in logistics and distribution and involves access control, customer service, and support for deliveries and shipments. The schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, access control policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, authorizing entry and exit according to site procedures, and maintaining visitor and vehicle access records.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation and notification procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
Direct visitors and drivers to designated areas and communicate access instructions to support authorized deliveries and shipments.
