Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol
About The Position
As an experienced unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location in Middletown, Connecticut, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, employees, and vendors. You will patrol assigned indoor and outdoor areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security incidents, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. The role contributes to a welcoming environment and supports Allied Universal’s culture of teamwork and integrity. This is a full-time position paying $21.22 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification; CPR certification is specifically listed as preferred.
- Guard Card or license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in accordance with site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity according to site procedures; report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
