About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare manufacturing location in Shawnee, Kansas, you will help safeguard clients, visitors, and staff while providing customer service in a healthcare-focused environment. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors. The role uses computer or tablet tools as needed and emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and dependable service.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any state or local licensing requirements that apply before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and applicable emergency-response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activity.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and responding public-service agencies as needed.
