Security Officer Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Patrol Reporting
About The Position
As a Security Officer with an active DoD Secret clearance, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology-focused location in Arlington, Virginia. This part-time, unarmed patrol role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, responding professionally to situations, and supporting a welcoming environment through customer service and clear communication. The position offers a schedule of Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at a pay rate of $25.12 per hour. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience, an active DoD Secret clearance, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles. A background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen are conditions of employment. Applicable licensing requirements may apply before employment.
Requirements

- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- State and/or local licensing requirements may apply and may need to be met before employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and communicate with appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, access points, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs.
- Follow post orders and report maintenance, access-control, and security-related concerns.
