About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location in Huntsville, Alabama, you will safeguard the site and serve personnel, visitors, and contractors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, report observations, and provide professional customer service. The role includes following site-specific security procedures and policies, responding to emergencies and incidents, and accurately documenting patrols and activities. The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; report unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor entry requirements according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, access-related activities, and observations in required reports and logs.
