About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The role provides customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Officers respond calmly and constructively to incidents and critical situations and conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

This is a temporary position paying $18.80 per hour. The mixed-shift schedule is Sunday and Monday, 9:00 AM–6:30 PM; Tuesday, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM; and Wednesday and Thursday, 1:00 AM–9:30 AM.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
