About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a retail location in Chicago, Illinois. The officer will help safeguard the property and provide a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. The position involves customer-focused security work, clear communication, teamwork, and integrity. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, entrances, exits, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document incidents, patrols, and daily activities and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
