About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for afternoon shifts at an assigned technology-focused site in Chandler, Arizona. The role provides reliable weekly hours on a designated fixed schedule, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. In addition to the scheduled shifts, officers may claim extra shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours in a week and adjust hours as needed.

The officer provides customer service and performs security duties in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures. Duties include unarmed patrols, monitoring access and visitors, responding to incidents and alarms, and completing reports and shift communications. The position pays $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location while following security procedures, site policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with post orders and escalation protocols.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications according to company and site requirements.
