About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a retail and mall location in Chicago, Illinois. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, clear communication, professional responses to security concerns, and reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. The position pays $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Additional shifts may be available through the company’s Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and retail personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking facilities, loading areas, and the property perimeter; identify and report security-related concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, suspicious activity, and critical situations in accordance with site procedures.
Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and other policy violations.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site management, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
