About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Richmond, Virginia, you will help safeguard tenants, visitors, vendors, and staff. You will maintain a visible presence, patrol assigned areas, support access control, and provide customer service and clear communication. The role includes following site-specific procedures and policies, responding to incidents and emergencies, and documenting patrol activities and observations. The position is scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and pays $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter areas to identify and report security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site-specific reporting procedures.
Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in clear, accurate reports while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
