About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer to support a commercial office location in San Diego, California. The role involves conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitoring access, and providing customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. Officers respond to concerns and emergencies, communicate clearly, and help create a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s people-first culture with integrity and teamwork. The position pays $21.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Employees may use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, parking areas, common areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery access according to site-specific procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related activities.
