About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer at a public library in Toledo, Ohio. The officer will safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff by maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, providing customer service, and responding professionally to concerns and incidents. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role involves following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site. Applicants are subject to background and drug screening as permitted by law; applicable licensing requirements may apply. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
Communicate clearly and respond professionally to concerns.
