About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a technology-focused location in Boise, Idaho. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, communicate with employees and visitors, document observations, and support a welcoming environment. The role provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.

The scheduled shifts are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour. The position offers access to a shift-claiming platform, paid training, career growth opportunities, a retirement savings plan, and a discounts program.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and help maintain orderly entry and exit in accordance with site policies.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and shift communications, and promptly escalate security-related incidents and concerns to appropriate personnel.
