Security Officer Overnight Unarmed
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare location in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves conducting patrols, monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The officer provides customer service and clear communication to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors, supporting a welcoming and orderly environment. The schedule is overnight: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The pay rate is $16.05 per hour. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
Requirements

Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site policy, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Communicate professionally with staff and visitors and report maintenance, access, or security-related concerns to site leadership.
